Abstract
ABSTRACT Abie Dezan, NIM. 6670180093, Empowerment of Tabayun Shelters in the Process of Personality Development and Independent of Street Children in Bogor Regency. Supervisor: Bayu Nurrohman, M.Ipol. Government Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, 2022. Street children are an important part to pay attention to the existence and sustainability of their lives, because most street children still have obstacles in guaranteeing social protection and welfare. This happens in the Bogor Regency area, where street children really need the participation of the community and also the government to pay attention to the welfare side. This study tries to see how the portrait of street children in Bogor Regency is given empowerment through a social protection house, namely Rumah Singgah Tabayun. This study uses the Empowerment theory from Mardikanto supported by the theory of the concept of Independent from Steinberg, accompanied by qualitative research methods and a case study approach. The results of this study conclude that the empowerment carried out by the Tabayun Shelter House still does not have a comprehensive impact on the personality development and independent of street children, which is always due to the inconsistent treatment and actions of some of the foster children in participating in the ongoing empowerment activities. Anak jalanan menjadi bagian penting untuk diperhatikan keberadaan serta keberlanjutan akan hidupnya, karena kebanyakan anak jalanan masih mempunyai hambatan pada jaminan atas perlindungan sosial serta kesejahteraan. Hal tersebut terjadi di wilayah Kabupaten Bogor, dimana para anak jalanan sangat memerlukan peran serta dari masyarakat dan juga pemerintah untuk diperhatikan terkait dengan sisi kesejahteraannya. Penelitian ini mencoba melihat bagaimana potret anak jalanan di Kabupaten Bogor diberikan pemberdayaan melalui rumah perlindungan sosial yaitu Rumah Singgah Tabayun. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Pemberdayaan dari Mardikanto dengan ditunjang teori konsep Kemandirian dari Steinberg, disertai dengan metode penelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwasanya pemberdayaan yang dilakukan oleh Rumah Singgah Tabayun terhadap para anak jalanan yang berada di wilayah Kabupaten Bogor, telah berjalan sesuai dengan penerapan konsep pemberdayaan yang dikemukakan oleh Mardikanto yang memuat empat indikator utama yaitu proses bina manusia, bina usaha, bina lingkungan, dan juga bina kelembagaan.
