Abstract

ABSTRACT MUHAMMAD RIZAL FALAQ ISLAH. NIM 6662160068. Thesis, Communication planning in reducing flood risk in Lebak Regency. Advisory Team : Husnan Nurjuman, S.Ag, M.Si. as the first supervisor and Ronny Yudhi Septa Priana, S.I.kom, M.Si as the second supervisor. Recently, Lebak Regency, which is located in Banten Province, was one of the areas affected by the flood disaster, the area around the Ciberang River in Banjarsari Village, Lebak Gedong, Banten Province, was one of the areas worst hit by flash floods in early 2020. The Indonesian government and local business organizations have all shown an interest in participating in efforts to reduce this problem. The Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC), which was established in Yogyakarta in 2010 after the earthquake at the Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah Muktamar, is a non-governmental organization, has a more significant role, namely participating in supporting disaster management efforts, which includes prevention of threats. and disaster risk, prevention of disaster victims, and monitoring of people whose lives are threatened by disaster. On this basis, the author is curious and wants to research about the Communication Planning of the Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center in Flood Disaster Preparedness in Lebak Regency. The researcher uses the communication planning model from Philip Lesly. The results showed that the Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC) had implemented the Philip Lesly communication planning model well in dealing with disasters, especially those that occurred in Banten Province.
