Abstract
Learning in junior high schools currently students lack critical thinking. Critical thinking is one of the skills that need to be applied the 21st century and the curriculum applied in schools. Critical thinking can be trained in learning media, namely developing interactive power points using the CTL approach. The CTL approach learns about the conditions that exist in the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine the efficiency of interactive power point using the CTL approach on the theme of my river is polluted to fosfer critical thinking skills of seventh grade students. The research method used is the research and development method (RnD) from Sugiyono which is adapted to the needs of researchers and is limited to limited trials. The validation assessment was assessed by experts using an instrument sheet while the student assessment used a student response questionnaire. Validation assessments were obtained from material experts, media, and techer science junior high school. At the interactive power point validation level the percetage of material expert validation values is 95% with the criteria very valid, validation media 88,3% with the criteria very valid, and validation teacher science junior high school 90% with the criteria very valid. The efficiency of interactive power point media using the CTL approach to grow the thinking skills of class VII students obtained a score of 84,6% with the criteria of very efficient. Based on this assessment interactive power point media is very efficient in growing the critical thinking skills of class VII students.

Additional Information: | Pembelajaran di sekolah menengah pertama saat ini siswa kurang dalam berpikir kritisnya. Berpikir kritis salah satu kemampuan yang perlu diterapkan pada abad 21 dan kurikulum yang diterapkan di sekolah. Berpikir kritis dapat dilatih dalam media pembelajaran yaitu mengembangkan power point interaktif dengan menggunakan pendekatan CTL. Pendekatan CTL membelajarkan keadaan yang ada di lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efisiensi power point interaktif menggunakan pendekatan CTL pada tema sungaiku tercemar untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RnD) dari Sugiyono yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peneliti dan dibatasi hingga uji coba terbatas. Penilaian validasi dinilai oleh para ahli menggunakan lembar instrumen sedangkan penilaian siswa menggunakan angket respon siswa. Pada tingkat validasi power point interaktif didapatkan presentase nilai validasi ahli materi sebesar 95% dengan kriteria sangat valid, validasi ahli media 88,3% dengan kriteria sangat valid, dan validasi guru IPA SMP 90% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Efisiensi media power point interaktif menggunakan pendekatan CTL untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir siswa kelas VII didapatkan nilai sebesar 84,6% dengan kriteria Sangat Efisien. Berdasarkan penilaian tersebut media power point interaktif sangat efisien dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VII. | |||||||||
