Abstract

Naufal Syafiq Permana. NIM. 6670170060. The Role of Hope Worldwide Indonesia in Empowering Non-Formal Education for Abandoned Children in 2020 in Tangerang City. Supervisor: Gilang Ramadhan, MA. Government Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, 2021. This study explains that Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2012 is still considered difficult to realize because the lack of budget given is not in accordance with abandoned children. Where Hope Worldwide Indonesian is a forum or institution engaged in education, health, disaster response and services carried out collectively that arise in the community without government interference in the welfare of society. in this study the researcher uses identity theory in the theory of new social movements, as for the four elements proposed by Cohen Singh (2010): 1) Struggle, 2) Solidarity, 3) Awareness, 4) Mobilization using qualitative research methods and through a case study approach. The results of this research carried out are that the social movement carried out by Hope Worldwide Indonesia Tangerang City through various ways to realize the fulfillment of children's education by creating educational programs. Where the program is carried out in accordance with social movements and the way it is carried out in this education fulfillment strategy by looking at the needs that exist in the community so as to create support in the form of programs that are run.

Penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai Peraturan Daerah Nomor 5 Tahun 2012 dinilai masih sulit untuk direalisasikan dikarenakan kurangnya anggaran yang diberikan tidak sesuai dengan anak terlantar. Di mana Hope Worldwide Indonesian merupakan wadah atau lembaga yang bergerak dalam bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, tanggap bencana dan pelayanan yang dilakukan secara kolektif yang timbul di masayarakat tanpa campur tangan pemerintah dalam mensejahterakan masyarakat. dalam penelitian ini peniliti menggunakan teori identitas pada teori gerakan sosial baru, adapun empat elemen yang dikemukakan Cohen Singh (2010): 1) Perjuangan, 2) Solidaritas, 3) Kesadaran, 4) Mobilisasi dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan melalui pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil Penelitian ini yang dilakukan adalah bahwa gerakan sosial yang dilakukan Hope Worldwide Indonesia Kota Tangerang melalui berbagai cara untuk mewujudkan pemenuhan pendidikan anak dengan menciptakan beberapa program pendidikan. Di mana program yang dilakukan sesuai dengan gerakan sosial serta cara yang dilakukan dalam strategi pemenuhan pendidikan ini dengan melihat adanya kebutuhan yang ada di masyarakat sehingga menciptakan dukungan berupa program yang dijalankan.
