Abstract

This research was conducted with the background that there are still few chemistry learning media that utilize technology, especially virtual reality. The chemistry topic raised in this study is the electrolytic cell topic which in the learning process at school students still have difficulty understanding the electrolysis cell topic, so that learning media is needed that can help students understand the electrolytic cell topic which is made interesting by utilizing virtual reality technology. The purpose of this study is to produce a virtual reality with Millea Lab platform that is feasible and practical. In this study, the ADDIE R&D (Research and Development) development model was used. The development process is carried out through several stages, namely the Analysis stage of analyzing product needs, Design stage of product design, Development of product development stage, Implementaion stage of product testing to students, Evaluation is an evaluation stage carried out at each stage. The results of the development of this learning media produce virtual reality on platform MilleaLab. Validation assessment from media experts and topic experts with an error rate of 5% based on the Aiken scale obtained Vcount ≥ Vtable (Vtable = 0.87). Each value on the validation of media experts and topic experts is 0.89 and 0.87 with the "Valid" category. The results of the assessment of student responses regarding the practicality of this learning media get a percentage of 88% in the "Very Good" category. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the development of virtual reality MilleaLab on electrolysis cell topic is a feasible and practical learning media.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan latar belakang masih sedikitnya media pembelajaran kimia yang memanfaatkan teknologi terutama virtual reality. Materi kimia yang diangkat pada penelitian ini yaitu materi sel elektrolisis yang dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi sel elektrolisis yang bersifat abstrak, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi sel elektrolisis yang dibuat menarik dengan memanfaatkan tekonologi virtual reality. Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran kimia berbasis virtual reality dengan platform MilleaLab yang layak dan praktis.. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan R&D (Research and Development) ADDIE. Proses pengembangan yang dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu Analysis tahap menganalisis kebutuhan produk, Design tahap merancang produk, Development tahap pengembangan produk, Implementaion tahap uji coba produk kepada siswa, Evaluation merupakan tahap evaluasi yang dilakukan pada setiap tahapan. Hasil dari pengembangan media pembelajaran ini menghasilkan pembelajaran berbasis virtual reality pada platform MilleaLab. Penilaian validasi dari ahli media dan ahli materi dengan tingkat kesalahan 5% berdasarkan skala aiken didapatkan Vhitung ≥ Vtabel (Vtabel = 0,87). Masingmasing nilai pada validasi ahli media dan ahli materi sebesar 0,89 dan 0,87 dengan kategori “Valid”. Hasil dari penilaian respon siswa mengenai kepraktisan media pembelajaran ini mendapatkan persentase sebesar 88% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis virtual reality MilleaLab pada materi sel elektrolisis merupakan media pembelajaran yang layak dan praktis.
