Abstract

Indonesia masih membutuhkan banyak perbaikan dalam berbagai bidang pendidikan, karena kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan, yaitu melalui adaptasi model pembelajaran yang diterapkan di berbagai negara maju, yaitu pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) terintegrasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesiapan guru di sekolah terhadap penerapan pendekatan STEM terintegrasi dan apa saja faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian survei. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penelitian dalam bentuk kuesioner dan wawancara. Adapun sampel yang diambil yaitu sebanyak 30 guru SMK jurusan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kesiapan guru SMK jurusan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan terhadap penerapan pendekatan STEM terintegrasi termasuk ke dalam kategori “siap”, baik dari aspek kesiapan sikap dan emosi (emotive-ettitudinal readiness), kesiapan kognitif (cognitive readiness), maupun kesiapan perilaku (behavioral readiness). Dengan persentase antusiasme 77.67%, kemauan beradaptasi 71.33%, tanggung jawab 72.00%, berpikir kritis 85.33%, mengintegrasikan berbagai disiplin ilmu 72.67%, menjalankan fungsi kemitraan 55.17%, pengelolaan waktu 72.00% dan pengelolaan kelas yang interaktif 71.33%. Adapun faktor yang mendukung kesiapan guru yaitu ketertarikan dan kemampuan guru-guru untuk mempelajari dan menguasai konsep pendekatan STEM terintegrasi, serta sarana dan prasarana sekolah yang mendukung, Sedangkan faktor yang menjadi penghambat kesiapan guru yaitu kurangnya sosialisasi dan pelatihan mengenai pendekatan STEM terintegrasi, serta waktu pembelajaran yang terbatas.

Additional Information: Indonesia still needs a lot of improvement in various fields education, because the quality of education in Indonesia is still relatively low. One of the efforts that can be done is through model adaptation learning that is applied in various developed countries, namely the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is integrated. This research was conducted to determine the level of teacher readiness in schools on the application of the integrated STEM approach and what are the factors which affects it. The research was conducted using the survey research design. Technique data collection using research instruments in the form of a questionnaire and interviews. The samples taken were 30 SMK teachers Department of Vehicle Engineering. The data obtained are then analyzed using the percentage technique. The results showed that the level of readiness of SMK teachers majoring in Vehicle Engineering towards the application of the integrated STEM approach is included in the “ready” category, both from aspects of emotiveettitudinal readiness, cognitive readiness, as well as behavioral readiness. With 77.67% enthusiasm percentage, willingness to adapt 71.33%, 72.00% responsibility, 85.33% critical thinking, integrating various disciplines 72.67%, carry out partnership functions 55.17%, 72.00% time management and 71.33% interactive classroom management. The factors that support teacher readiness are interest and the ability of teachers to learn and master the concept of approach Integrated STEM, as well as school facilities and infrastructure that support, While the factors that inhibit teacher readiness are the lack of socialization and training on the integrated STEM approach, as well as time limited learning.
