Abstract

This study aims to describe social criticism in Mangir script by Pramoedya Ananta Toer and the implementation as a teaching module in senior high school. This research is a qualitative research with research techniques in the form of literature study techniques and reading and recording technology. The instrument used in this study is the researcher himself or human instrument. The method used in analyzing this research is a content analysis method where the research will focus on the content or meaning in each event that occurs in the Mangir manuscript. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been carried out, 21 data related to social criticism with details of (1) 15 criticism data in the political field were found; (2) 4 criticisms in the moral sphere; and (3) 2 criticisms in the field of gender.
