Abstract
This study aims to determine differences: (1) the outcomes of learning IPA between groups of student learning using project-based learning model with a group of student learning using expository teaching model, (2) the outcomes of learning IPA in the group of students who have critical thinking skills with groups students who have the ability to think critically low, (3) the effect of the interaction of the use of project-based learning model and the critical thinking of the student learning outcomes, (4) the outcomes of learning IPA between groups of student learning using project-based learning model and have the ability to think critically high, with study group that uses the model of expository and have high critical thinking skills, (5) the outcomes of learning IPA between groups of student learning using project-based learning model and have the ability to think critically low, a study group of students who use the model of expository and have the ability think critically low. The study included all students grade class VA and VB in SD Muhammadiyah Serang as population. This is a type of quasi-experimental study. The results showed there are differences between the learning outcomes of learning IPA using project-based learning model and learning to use expository Fhitung (21.714)> Ftable (2.15), there are differences in learning outcomes between students 'critical thinking IPA high and low students' critical thinking Fhitung (4.539) > Ftable (2.15), there is an interaction effect between project-based learning model and students' critical thinking on learning outcomes IPA Fhitung (10,901)> Ftable (2.15), there are differences in outcomes between the groups of students learn science that uses project-based learning model and high critical thinking by using model expository and critical thinking Fhitung to be high (13.640)> Ftable (3.18), there are differences in outcomes between the groups of students learn science that uses the model of projectbased learning and critical thinking low by students who use expository and thought Fhitung critically low (11.372) <Ftable (3.18). It can be concluded that by using project-based learning model can improve learning outcomes IPA and stimulate critical thinking skills.
