Abstract

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF DRAINAGE CHANNELS CAMPUS FACULTY OF ENGINEERING UNTIRTA Siti Nurhayah ABSTRACT Drainage is one that is considered important in a development plan. The drainage system is said to be good if it can accommodate and drain the flow discharge at an ideal speed. Based on the conditions at the UNTIRTA Faculty of Engineering campus located in Cilegon City, Banten, during the rainy season with high intensity rains, there are still problems with puddles of water in several locations that interfere with activities and traffic access. This study aims to analyze the performance of drainage channels, to determine the magnitude of the 5-year planned flood discharge, the capacity of the drainage channel to flood discharge and solutions to flood problems. The method used is flood discharge with a return period of 5 years, namely the distribution of discharge using the Rational formula. Based on the results of the CH data analysis, the Log Normal distribution was obtained. The magnitude of the 5-year design flood discharge (Q5) in the existing drainage channel in channel 1 is 0,59305 m ; on channel 2 is 0,07474 m ; on channel 3 of 0,09538 m ; on channel 4 it is 0,73102 m and on channel 5 it is 0,52325 m . Based on the comparison of the channel capacity discharge (Qs) to the 5-year design flood discharge (Q5), it is obtained that channel 1 and channel 2 have adequate channel capacity (accommodated channel discharge), while for channels 3, 4, and 5 channel capacity does not meet (unaccommodated channel discharge). So that it is necessary to re-dimensionalize the drainage channels 3, 4 and 5. Based on the results of the re-dimensional calculation using the 5-year design flood discharge, it is obtained that Channel 3 should be channel width (b) = 0,46 m with channel height (H) = 0,31 m, channel 4 should be (b) = 0,94 m with H = 0,6267 m, and channel 5 should be channel diameter (D) = 0,8 m. Sistem drainase dikatakan baik jika dapat menampung dan mengalirkan debit aliran dengan kecepatan ideal. Berdasarkan kondisi di lapangan kampus Fakultas Teknik UNTIRTA yang berada di Kota Cilegon Banten, saat musim hujan dengan hujan intensitas tinggi masih ditemukan permasalahan genangan air di beberapa lokasi sehingga mengganggu aktifitas serta akses lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kinerja saluran drainase, untuk mengetahui besar debit banjir rencana 5 tahun, kapasitas saluran drainase terhadap debit banjir serta solusi permasalahan banjir. Metode yang digunakan debit banjir periode ulang 5 tahun yaitu distribusi debit menggunakan rumus Rasional. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data CH diperoleh distribusi Log Normal, Besar debit banjir rencana 5 tahun (Q5) pada saluran drainase eksisting pada saluran 1 sebesar 0,59305 m ; pada saluran 2 sebesar 0,07474 m ; pada saluran 3 sebesar 0,09538 m ; pada saluran 4 sebesar 0,73102 m dan pada saluran 5 sebesar 0,52325 m . Berdasarkan perbandingan debit kapasitas saluran (Q ) terhadap debit banjir rencana 5 tahun (Q ) diperoleh saluran 1 dan saluran 2 kapasitas saluran memenuhi (debit saluran tertampung), sementara untuk saluran 3, 4, dan 5 kapasitas saluran tidak memenuhi (debit saluran tidak tertampung), sehingga perlu dilakukan dimensi ulang pada saluran drainase 3, 4 dan 5. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dimensi ulang dengan menggunakan debit banjir rencana 5 tahun diperoleh Saluran 3 seharusnya lebar saluran (b) m dengan tinggi saluran (H) m, saluran 4 seharusnya b m dengan H m, dan saluran 5 seharusnya diameter saluran (D) m.
