Abstract
Diabetes mellitus sufferers in Banten Province reached 1.84% and in RSUD dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara reached 487 cases. Diabetes mellitus is a condition where the occurrence of chronic hyperglycemia accompanied by various metabolic disorders is caused by hormonal disturbances which can cause several complications such as in the kidneys, nerves, eyes, and also disorders of blood vessels. Disease impairs the body's ability to produce or respond to the hormone insulin, causing abnormal carbohydrate metabolism and increased levels of glucose in the blood and urine. Clinical diabetes mellitus is a syndrome of metabolic disorders with hyperglycemia that should not be the result of a deficiency of insulin secretion or reduced biologic effectiveness of insulin or both (M. Clevo Rendy and Margareth Th, 2019). This case study aims to be able to provide emergency nursing care for type 2 diabetes mellitus with hypoglycemia. This study uses a nursing care approach starting from assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The method used is descriptive method. Data collection through interviews with patients and the patient's family, medical records and further studies. . The results of the study were that after the assessment, the data changed after the intervention, implementation of nursing for 3 days, namely monitoring blood sugar levels during and also giving D40 therapy as a bolus. The evaluation obtained had several different results, patient 1 had the problem resolved on day 3, while patient 2 was partially resolved on day 2.

Diabetes melitus merupakan keadaan dimana terjadinya hiperglikemi kronik yang di sertai dengan berbagai kelainan metabolik ini di sebabkan oleh terganggunya hormon yang dapat menyebabkan beberapa komplikasi seperti di ginjal, saraf ,mata, dan juga gangguan pada pembulu darah. Penyakit membuat kemampuan tubuh untuk memproduksi atau merespons hormon insulin terganggu, menyebabkan metabolisme karbohidrat yang tidak normal serta peningkatan kadar glukosa dalam darah serta urin. Diabetes mellitus klinis merupakan sindroma gangguan metabolisme dengan hiperglikemia yang tidak semestinya menjadi dampak suatu defisiensi sekresi insulin atau berkurangnya efektifitas biologis dari insulin atau keduanya (M.
