Abstract
The objective of this research is to know whether there is any effectiveness of using herringbone technique towards students’ reading comprehension skill on recount text at SMP Negeri 1 Pandeglang. The samples of this research were eighth grade of SMPN 1 Pandeglang. They were VIII B as experimental Class and VIII A as control class. Each class consisted of 30 students. This research used quantitative approach through quasi-experimental as a research design. The researcher collected the data through pre-test and post-test. The instrument of this research was a reading comprehension test
