Abstract

This research aims to develop, determine the feasibility, and determine student responses to Scientific Inquiry-based E-Modules in online learning in elementary schools. The material in the e-module is print media advertisements for Indonesian language subjects and pure substances and mixtures for science subjects. The Research and Development (R&D) research method with a 4D cycle according to Thiagarajan, that define, design, development, and dissemination. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews in needs analysis, several experts in media design, material, and language to determine product feasibility, and responses of fifth-grade students. The results of the study were based on the average value of the results of the validation test on e-modules in media design fields 78.23% criteria ‘eligible’, material field 85.71% criteria ‘very feasible’, and language field 83.84% criteria ‘very feasible’, and student responses with a results 88.88% criteria ‘very good’. Based on these results, the final product in the form of an E-Module based on Scientific Inquiry is suitable for use in the learning process for fifth-grade elementary school students.

Additional Information: Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, mengetahui kelayakan, dan mengetahui respons peserta didik terhadap E-Modul berbasis Scientific Inquiry pada pembelajaran daring di sekolah dasar. Materi di dalam e-modul yakni iklan media cetak untuk mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia serta zat tunggal dan campuran untuk mata pelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan siklus 4D menurut Thiagarajan yakni define, design, development, dan dissemination. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara dalam analisis kebutuhan, angket penilaian dari beberapa ahli dalam bidang desain media, materi, dan bahasa untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk, serta angket respons peserta didik kelas V. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan nilai rata-rata hasil uji validasi terhadap e-modul dalam bidang desain media 78,23% kriteria ‘Layak’, bidang materi 85,71% kriteria ‘Sangat layak’, dan bidang bahasa 83,84% kriteria ‘Sangat layak’, serta respons peserta didik dengan hasil 88,88% ‘Sangat baik’. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, produk berupa E-Modul berbasis Scientific Inquiry layak digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran peserta didik di kelas V SD.
