Abstract

PT. Dian Swastatika Sentosa Serang Power Plant fully supplies electrical energy to PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper which produces pulp, paper, and packaging products. Because of this important role, the stability of the power system must be maintained so that the operation and energy supply can run well and remain stable. The value of the generator supply must be equal to the value of the electric power load. Disturbance in the generating system that causes a reduction in energy supply, has an impact on the power imbalance between the generator side and the load side, resulting in a decrease in frequency. Load shedding are given to overcome these overload disturbances so that the system can return to stability. This research simulates the load shedding that occurs due to overload disturbance, using an artificial neural network method using MATLAB. Overload fault scenarios are created in the presence of a blackout of one or more generators. The artificial neural network method is used to determine the load shedding stage in the distribution system based on changes in frequency and power from the sending side and the receiving side. The results of the artificial neural network method formed 5 stages of load shedding which managed to restore the frequency that had dropped due to overload disturbance to become stable to 50 Hz.

Additional Information: PT. Dian Swastatika Sentosa Serang Power Plant mensuplai sepenuhnya energi listrik untuk PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper yang memproduksi pulp, paper, dan produk kemasan. Karena peran petingnya ini, kestabilan sistem tenaga harus dijaga agar pengoperasian dan suplai energi dapat berjalan baik dan tetap stabil. Besar nilai suplai pembangkit harus sama dengan nilai beban tenaga listrik. Gangguan pada sistem pembangkit yang menyebabkan berkurangnya suplai energi, memberikan dampak pada ketidakseimbangan daya antara sisi pembangkit dan sisi beban sehingga terjadi penurunan frekuensi. Upaya pelepasan beban diberikan untuk menanggulangi gangguan beban lebih tersebut agar sistem dapat kembali stabil. Penelitan ini mensimulasikan pelepasan beban yang terjadi akibat gangguan beban lebih, dengan metode jaringan saraf tiruan menggunakan MATLAB. Skenario gangguan beban lebih dibuat dengan adanya pemadaman satu atau lebih generator. Metode jaringan saraf tiruan digunakan untuk menentukan tahap pelepasan beban pada sistem distribusi yang dibuat berdasarkan perubahan frekuensi dan daya dari sisi pengirim, serta sisi penerima. Hasil dari metode jaringan saraf tiruan terbentuk 5 tahap pelepasan beban yang berhasil mengembalikan frekuensi yang turun akibat gangguan beban lebih menjadi stabil ke 50 Hz.
