Abstract

Rice, which is the staple food of the Indonesian people at this time, has an increasing price due to many factors, namely the very high acceleration of population growth in Indonesia, the growth of domestic production is not proportional to population growth, and also the level of rice productivity in Indonesia has not been maximized. is in the range of 50%. The rapid development of the era has made the spread of rice sales which initially only existed in traditional markets, has now begun to exist in modern markets. Therefore, the erosion of traditional markets by modern markets makes many people start shopping at modern markets so that they can eliminate the existence of traditional markets that have existed for generations. This study aims to determine the differences in marketing channels and rice prices in traditional and modern markets. The research was conducted in Tangerang Regency, involving three traditional markets and four modern markets. The results of this study are that the marketing channels in the two types of markets are not too different, but the price difference is quite high, making the price in the modern market tends to be more expensive than the price of rice in the traditional market. Additional Information: Beras yang menjadi makanan pokok masyarakat Indonesia saat ini mengalami kenaikan harga yang disebabkan oleh banyak faktor yaitu percepatan pertumbuhan penduduk yang sangat tinggi di Indonesia, pertumbuhan produksi dalam negeri yang tidak sebanding dengan pertumbuhan penduduk, dan juga tingkat produktivitas padi di Indonesia belum maksimal. berada pada kisaran 50%. Pesatnya perkembangan zaman membuat penyebaran penjualan beras yang awalnya hanya ada di pasar tradisional, kini mulai eksis di pasar modern. Oleh karena itu, tergerusnya pasar tradisional oleh pasar modern membuat banyak orang mulai berbelanja di pasar modern sehingga dapat menghilangkan keberadaan pasar tradisional yang telah ada secara turun temurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan saluran pemasaran dan harga beras di pasar tradisional dan pasar modern. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Tangerang dengan melibatkan tiga pasar tradisional dan empat pasar modern. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah saluran pemasaran di kedua jenis pasar tersebut tidak terlalu berbeda, namun selisih harga yang cukup tinggi, membuat harga di pasar modern cenderung lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan harga beras di pasar tradisional. .
