Abstract
The development of energy transfer which is increasingly distant has resulted in complex and vulnerable problems in dealing with various kinds of disturbances, such as voltage drops, and also power losses that occur in the system. One way to overcome this disturbance is by installing a Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS). The FACTS equipment used is a Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) which can reduce reactance in the line so as to maintain power balance in the electric power system. The effectiveness of TCSC installation is influenced by the location and rating of the installation, the Real-Coded Genetic Algorithm (RGA) method is used to determine it. The simulation results show an improvement in the voltage profile in accordance with the rules of the Java-Bali electric power system (0.95 p.u V 1.05 p.u) and reduce power losses. The simulation results show an improvement in the voltage profile of 0.0383 p.u to 0.0514 p.u and reduce active power losses of 73.546 MW to 167, 102 MW and reactive power losses of 840.281 MVAR to 1728.471 MVAR.

Additional Information: | Perkembangan transfer energi yang semakin jauh jaraknya mengakibatkan permasalahan yang kompleks dan rentan dalam menghadapi berbagai macam gangguan, seperti drop tegangan, dan juga rugi-rugi daya yang terjadi pada sistem. Salah satu cara mengatasi gangguan tersebut dengan pemasangan Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS). Peralatan FACTS yang digunakan adalah Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) yang dapat mengurangi reaktansi pada saluran sehingga dapat menjaga kesetimbangan daya pada sistem tenaga listrik. Efektifitas pemasangan TCSC dipengaruhi oleh letak dan rating pemasangannya, digunakanlah metode Real-Coded Genetic Algorithm (RGA) dalam menentukannya. Hasil simulasi menunjukan perbaikan profil tegangan sesuai dengan aturan jaringan sistem tenaga listrik Jawa-Bali (0,95 p.u ≤ V ≤ 1,05 p.u) dan menurunkan rugi-rugi daya. Hasil simulasi menunjukan perbaikan profil tegangan sebesar sebesar 0,0383 p.u sampai 0,0514 p.u serta mengurangi rugi-rugi daya aktif sebesar 73,546 MW sampai 167, 102 MW dan rugi-rugi daya reaktif sebesar 840,281 MVAR sampai 1728,471 MVAR. | |||||||||
