Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh berita dunia dalam pers Sin Po terhadap kebangkitan Nasional pada tahun 1910-1928. Kajian dari penelitian ini berfokus pada rentang tahun 1910-1928 dikarenakan pada periode tersebut awal munculnya pers Sin Po sebagai pers dari kalangan peranakan Tionghoa yang ikut serta adil dalam pergerakan di Indonesia. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teori Pers dan teori Nasionalisme. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode historis yang meliputi: heuristik (pengumpulan data), kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sejarah awal pers Sin Po dilatar belakangi oleh peranakan Tionghoa di Batavia. Dalam perkembangannya pers Sin Po disokong oleh alumni THHK (Tiong Hoa Hwee Koan). Pada tahun 1910 arah nasionalisme pers Sin Po lebih ke Tiongkok tetapi mulai tahun 1918 arah nasionalisme pers Sin Po mendukung perjuangan kebangkitan nasional Indonesia. Pada tajuk berita dunia pers Sin Po ada 3 peristiwa utama yang diberitakan yaitu adanya Revolusi Tiongkok yang dipelopori oleh Dr. Sun Yat Sen, Revolusi India yang dipelopori oleh Mahatma Gandhi, dan Revolusi Turki yang dipelopori oleh Mustafa Kemal Pasha Ataturk. Pemberitaan dunia ini menjadi inspirasi tokoh Nasionalis Indonesia

| Additional Information: | This study aims to explain the influence of world news in the Sin Po press on the national awakening in 1910-1928. The study of this research focuses on the range 1910-1928 because in that period the emergence of the Sin Po press as a press from Chinese descent who participated fairly in the movement in Indonesia. The theory used in this research is the theory of the press and the theory of nationalism. The method used in this research is a historical method which includes: heuristics (data collection), source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study indicate that the background of the early history of the Sin Po press was based on the Chinese descent in Batavia. In its development, the Sin Po press was supported by THHK alumni (Tiong Hoa Hwee Koan). In 1910 the direction of Sin Po's press nationalism was more towards China but starting in 1918 the direction of Sin Po's nationalism in the press supported the struggle for Indonesia's national awakening. In the headlines of the Sin Po press world there are 3 main events reported, namely the Chinese Revolution pioneered by Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the Indian Revolution spearheaded by Mahatma Gandhi, and the Turkish Revolution spearheaded by Mustafa Kemal Pasha Ataturk.
