Abstract
This study is conducted to describe the way of lasker pelangi has been translated in The Rainbow Troops in Indonesian cltural terms. The aim of the stidy are (1) to indetfy the indosian cultural trems, (2) to analyze the translation procedure, (3) to analyze the translation methods, and (4) To analyze translation ideology in traslating Andre Hirata's laskar pelangi. The method for analzying data data was conect analysis . peer discussion and triang ulation were aplied to enhance the validatin. In translating the novel of laskar pelangi, the translator user the ideology of foreignization. the translator could not find equivalent cultural trems, then the translator has to borow it from the source language( INSONESIAN).
