Abstract

Heart failure is a condition where there is a failure in the blood to meet the needs of the body's cells for nutrients and oxygen adequately. Risk factors for heart failure include smoking, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, lack of physical activity, emotional stress, and diabetes mellitus. The prevalence of heart failure continues to increase along with increasing age, data obtained from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016 showed that there were 23 million or around 54% of the total deaths caused by Congestive Heart Failure. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health, in 2018 the prevalence of heart disease based on doctor diagnoses in Indonesia was 1.5%, and the prevalence of heart disease in Banten Province was (1.39%). The research design is a case study. According to Sujarweni (2014), a case study is a research design that includes an intensive study of one research unit (Sujarweni, 2014). From the study, it was found that one diagnosis of decreased cardiac output was associated with decreased ventricular contractions.
