Abstract
Energi merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia, yang terus meningkat sejalan dengan tingkat kehidupannya. Kondisi saat ini dari total produksi energi primer Batu Bara, gas bumi, minyak bumi dan EBT di Indonesia tahun 2015 adalah 2848,025 ribu SBM dimana sekitar 1,887,366 ribu SBM di ekspor ke luar negeri. Bioetanol adalah etanol yang dibuat dari biomassa yang mengandung kandungan pati atau selulosa, seperti singkong dan tetes tebu. Dalam dunia industri, etanol umumnya digunakan sebagai bahan baku industri turunan alkohol, campuran untuk minuman keras (seperti sake dan gin), serta bahan baku farmasi dan kosmetik (Hambali, 2007). Penelitian memfokuskan pada uji performa campuran bahan bakar bioethanol dan pertamax 92 pada motor bensin 2000cc dengan memvariasikan bioethanol 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% menggunakan pembebanan air dengan persentase pembukaan katup sebebsar 50%, 75%, 100% pada putaran mesin 1000 RPM, 1500 RPM, 2000 RPM, 2500 RPM. Dari semua campuran bahan bakar hasil yang didapatkan dengan nilai tertinggi dengan campuran 10% bioethanol dan pertamax 90% yaitu 29.272 HP dan torsi 8.508 Kgf.m. dengan pembukaan katup sebesar 100 RPM 2500, konsumsi bahan bakar terbesar pada campuran 20% dan pertamax 80%. Penelitian kali ini hasilnya fluktuatif dari berbagai campuran RPM dan pembebanan atau pembukaan katup.

The current condition of the total production of primary energy from coal, natural gas, oil and renewable energy, in Indonesia in 2015 was 2848,025 thousand BOE, of which around 1,887,366 thousand BOE were exported. Bioethanol is ethanol made from biomass containing starch or cellulose, such as cassava and molasses. In the industrial world, ethanol is generally used as a raw material for industrial alcohol derivatives, a mixture for liquor (such as sake and gin), as well as pharmaceutical and cosmetic raw materials (Hambali, 2007). The research focuses on testing the performance of a mixture of bioethanol and pertamax 92 fuel on a 2000cc gasoline engine by varying the bioethanol (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) using waterbrake with a valve opening percentage of 50%, 75%, 100% at engine speed of 1000 RPM, 1500 RPM, 2000 RPM, 2500 RPM. Of all the fuel mixtures, the results obtained are the highest value with a mixture of 10% bioethanol and 90% Pertamax, 29.272 HP and 8.508 Nm of torque with a valve to open of 100% RPM 2500, the largest fuel consumption is in the mixture of 20% and 80% Pertamax. In this research, the results fluctuate from various mixtures of RPM and load or open valve . | |||||||||
