Abstract

Zeolit merupakan mineral aluminosilikat yang memiliki struktur pori dan luas permukaan yang besar sehingga dapat berfungsi sebagai adsorben dalam adsorpsi molekul pada alat Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA), salah satunya digunakan untuk menghasilkan gas oksigen. Oleh karena itu, perlu desain dan produk berupa alat PSA dengan menggunakan adsorben zeolit 13X yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif penghasil oksigen di tengah pandemi Covid-19. Tujuan pembuatan alat PSA yaitu untuk mendapatkan desain dan produk berupa alat PSA serta untuk mengetahui kapasitas tabung adsorber dan tabung oksigen pada alat PSA. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode perancangan Pahl and Beitz dengan QFD. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rancangan bejana tekan berupa tabung adsorber dan tabung oksigen pada komponen-komponen seperti shell, head, dan skirt dengan diameter dalam 94.4 mm dan tebal dinding 2.3 mm, tinggi shell 283.2 mm, tinggi head 23.6 mm, tinggi skirt 40 mm, komponen nozzle memiliki diameter luar 28.58 mm, tebal dinding 5 mm, tinggi 47.63 mm dan ulir dalam M20×1.75. Hasil perhitungan dan simulasi tegangan yaitu 3622.07 psi dan 3743.2 psi, dengan %kesalahan 3.34%, simulasi displacement yaitu 0.01536 mm, dan perhitungan safety factor yaitu 8.3. Untuk kapasitas tabung adsorber yaitu 1.681 kg dan kapasitas tabung oksigen yaitu 2.202 liter.

Additional Information: Zeolite is an aluminosilicate crystalline mineral that has a large pores structure and surface area so it can serve as an adsorbent and molecular adsorption in the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) tool, one of which is used to produce oxygen gas. Therefore, it is necessary a design and product in the form of PSA tool using 13X zeolite adsorbent that can be used as an alternative oxygen generator in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of PSA tool making is to get design and products in the form of PSA tools and to know the capacity of adsorber tank and oxygen tank in PSA tools. The research methodology used is the method of designing Pahl and Beitz with QFD. The result of this study is the design of pressure vessel in the form of adsorber tank and oxygen tank in components such as shell, head and skirt with 94.4 mm inner diameter and 2.3 mm wall thickness, 283.2 mm shell height, 23.6 mm head height, 40 mm skirt height, nozzle components have an 28.58 mm outer diameter, 5 mm wall thickness, 47.63 mm height and M20×1.75 inner thread. The result of calculation and stress simulation is 3622.07 psi and 3743.2 psi, with 3.34% error, displacement simulation is 0.01536 mm, and safety factor calculation is 8.3.
