Abstract

Proses pengerollan merupakan salah satu proses perlakuan material yang bertujuan selain untuk merubah bentuk suatu material proses pengerollan juga dapat merubah sifat mekanik material itu sendiri. Pada proses pengerollan terdapat suatu proses yang di namakan proses preheating Proses ini merupakan proses awal yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap struktur mikro dari material, untuk melihat tingkat efisien dari proses terhadap pengaruh sifat mekanik diperlukan suatu Analisa Finite Element Analisys (FEA) agar dapat melihat bagaimana Von Misses yang terjadi dengan pendekatan Software Engineering. Dilakukan uji kekerasan dan simulasi dengan ANSYS dan didapatkan hasil berupa kesimpulan. Reduksi berpengaruh terhadap ketahanan impak dan kekerasan material. Sifat mekanik tertinggi terdapat pada temperatur preheat 1100 oC dengan reduksi 20% menghasilkan nilai kekerasan 64.2 HRC. Temperatur preheat juga berpengaruh terhadap perubahan nilai kekerasan dan ketahan impak baja laterit paduan NiCrMn, namun perubahan yang terjadi tidak terlalu signifikan, pada temperatur preheat 1000°C, 1050°C dan 1100°C nilai kekerasannya 63.6 HRC, 63.9 HRC dan 64.2 HRC untuk reduksi 20%. Nilai Von Misses dipengaruhi oleh temperature pada preheat, dan semakin tinggi tempratur maka semakin tinggi nilai dari von Misses.

Additional Information: Rolling process is one of material treatment processes to change the form of the material. Rolling process also change mechanical properties of the material. In the rolling process, there is a step called preheating process. This process is the beginning process which have great impact to the material microscopic structure, to see efficiency level of the process against the effect of material mechanical properties, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is required to see how Von Misses value that happened with an Engineering Software. Hardened test and simulation were performed by ANSYS and the result were in the form of conclusion. Reduction having an effect to impact resistance and material hardness. The highest mechanical properties were gained in the preheat temperature at 1100oC with 20% reduction resulting 64.2 HRC hardness value. Preheat temperature also affecting change in the hardness value and impact resistance of NiCrMn alloy laterite steel. But, the change happened not significantly in the preheat temperature at 1000°C, 1050°C and 1100°C with 63.6 HRC, 63.9 HRC and 64.2 HRC hardness value for 20% reduction.
