Abstract
ABSTRACT Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both and its prevalence is increasing from year to year. Clinically, Diabetes Mellitus consists of two main types, namely Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Various complications that occur in Diabetes Mellitus patients are diabetic ulcers, which are open sores on the skin surface due to macroangiopathic complications resulting in vascular insufficiency and neuropathy. This study aims to be able to apply nursing care for skin integrity disorders in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus ulcers by means of wound care using the case study method in patients with inclusion criteria and their families. Nursing care that will be carried out includes assessment, enforcing nursing diagnoses, intervention actions, implementing actions that have been intervened, and evaluating progress after the action has been taken. | Additional Information: | ABSTRAK Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan suatu kelompok penyakit metabolik dengan karakteristik hiperglikemia yang terjadi karena kelainan sekresi insulin, kerja insulin, atau keduanya dan prevalensinya semakin meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Secara klinis Diabetes Mellitus terdiri dari dua tipe utama yaitu Diabetes Mellitus tipe 1 dan Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2. Beragam komplikasi yang terjadi pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus salah satunya Ulkus diabetikum yang merupakan luka terbuka pada permukaan kulit karena adanya komplikasi makroangiopati sehingga terjadi vaskuler insusifiensi dan neuropati. Penelitian ini bertujuan mampu menerapkan asuhan keperawatan gangguan integritas kulit pada pasien ulkus diabetes mellitus Tipe 2 dengan tindakan perawatan luka menggunakan metode studi kasus pada pasien dengan kriteria inklusi dan keluarga. Asuhan keperawatan yang akan dilakukan mencakup pengkajian, penegakkan diagnosa keperawatan, intervensi tindakan, mengimplementasikan tindakan yang telah di intervensikan, dan mengevaluasi perkembangan setelah dilakukan tindakan.
