Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang manajemen sebuah badan usaha milik Desa Jayanti Kecamatan Jayanti Kabupaten Tangerang, bernama BUMDes Jayanti Maju Bersama. Secara spesifik membahas mengenai pengelolaan BUMDes Jayanti Maju Bersama dari awal mula pembentukannya hingga kondisinya sekarang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana manajemen BUMDes Jayanti Maju Bersama dalam mengembangkan usaha dan pendapatannya. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori fungsi manajemen George Terry (dalam Hasibuan, 2011:38). Teori tersebut terdiri dari 4 (empat) fungsi, yakni perencanaan. pengorganisasian, penggerakan, dan pengawasan. Selanjutnya, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh sebuah kesimpulan yang merupakan hasil akhir dari kajian data penelitian, yaitu bahwa manajemen BUMDes Jayanti Maju Bersama belum efektif dan efisien. Hal ini disebabkan oleh banyak hambatan, baik hambatan dari luar maupun dari dalam. Hambatan dari luar di antaranya: adanya masyarakat yang merasa usahanya tersaingi; masih adanya permasalahan dalam hal pemesanan barang untuk memperbesar skala pemasaran; dan masyarakat kurang berpartisipasi aktif dalam pengelolaan badan usaha. Kemudian hambatan dari dalam antara lain: sumber daya manusia yang kurang secara kualitas maupun kuantitas; belum bisa menyerap tenaga kerja dengan baik; pemahaman mengenai konsep BUMDes yang kurang; perolehan keuntungan masih relatif kecil; serta pengawasan terhadap kinerja pelaksana operasional yang kurang

| Additional Information: | This study examines the management of a business entity owned by Jayanti Village, Jayanti District, Tangerang Regency, named BUMDes Jayanti Maju Bersama. Specifically, it discusses the management of BUMDes Jayanti Maju Bersama from its inception to its present condition. The purpose of this research is to find out how the management of BUMDes Jayanti Maju Bersama develops its business and income. The theory used in this research is George Terry's management function theory (in Hasibuan, 2011:38). The theory consists of 4 (four) functions, namely planning. organizing, actuating, and controlling. Furthermore, the research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. From this study, a conclusion was reached that was the final result of the study of research data, namely that the management of BUMDes Jayanti Maju Bersama was not yet effective and efficient. This is caused by many obstacles, both obstacles from outside and from inside. Outside obstacles include: the existence of a society that feels that its business is unrivaled; there are still problems in terms of ordering goods to enlarge the scale of marketing; and the community is not actively participating in the management of business entities. Then the obstacles from within, among others: human resources that are lacking in quality and quantity; unable to absorb labor properly; lack of understanding of the BUMDes concept; profit is still relatively small; and oversight of poor operational performance.
