Abstract

Penyakit gangguan jiwa masih menjadi permasalahan yang sangat serius di dunia. Untuk itu memberikan pelayanan terhadap penderita penyakit jiwa merupakan kegiatan untuk mewujudkan pelayanan kesehatan yang optimal untuk masyarakat melalui pendekatan yang preventif, kuratif, promotif, dan juga rehabilitatif. Hal ini menjadi tanggung jawab pemerintah daerah yang dilaksanakan oleh dinas kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Implementasi dari Edward III. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan serta verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa program penanganan penderita gangguan jiwa yang dilakukan oleh Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pandeglang belum dilakukan secara optimal. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pandeglang memperbanyak agenda sosialisasi dengan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat terkait pentingnya penanganan penyakit gangguan jiwa, serta meningkatkan dukungan sumber daya baik sumber daya manusia maupun sumber daya anggaran agar program bisa berjalan dengan optimal

Additional Information: Mental disorders are still a very serious problem in the world. For this reason, providing services to people with mental illness is an activity to realize optimal health services for the community through preventive, curative, promotive and rehabilitative approaches. This is the responsibility of the local government which is carried out by the health offices. This study uses the theory of implementation from Edward III. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation study. Data analysis techniques in this study were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study concluded that the program for handling mental disorders carried out by the Health Office of Pandeglang Regency has not been carried out optimally. The suggestion from this research is that the Health Office of Pandeglang Regency increase the socialization agenda by providing education to the public regarding the importance of handling mental disorders, as well as increasing resource support both human resources and budget resources so that the program can run optimally.
