Abstract
Pembahasan tentang “Pembangunan Berkelanjutan” atau “Sustainable Develpoment ” bukanlah suatu hal yang baru baik dilihat secara nasional maupun internasional. Pembangunan berkelanjutan merupakan suatu proses pembangunan yang mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam dan sumber daya manusia, dengan menyerasikan sumber daya alam dengan manusia dalam pembangunan. Indonesia telah terlibat aktif di tingkat internasional sebagai salah satu negara peratifikasi Konvensi Kerangka Kerja Perubahan Iklim (UNFCCC) dan Protokol Kyoto. Pemerintah Indonesia telah meratifikasi Konvensi Perubahan Iklim melalui Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 1994 tentang Pengesahan United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (Konvensi Kerangka Kerja Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa tentang Perubahan Iklim) dan termasuk dalam negara Non-Annex I. Penelitian penulisan ini menggunakan teknik penelitian Yuridis-Normatif. Penelitian ini pada akhirnya akan difokuskan untuk menjawab dua identifikasi masalah, yaitu tentang pengaturan prinsip sustainable development dalam Konvensi Perubahan Iklim 1992 terhadap pencegahan penebangan hutan secara liar dan implementasi prinsip sustainable development dalam pencegahan penebangan hutan secara liar di Kalimantan. Implementasi UNFCCC pada hakikatnya sudah tercermin dalam peraturan yang mengatur tentang pengelolaan lingkungan hidup serta aturan mengenai pencegahan dan pemberantasannya. Hal ini telihat ketika berbagai macam aksi kerusakan atau tindakan deforestasi yang dilakukan hendaknya melakukan peninjauan atau memperhatikan analisis dampak lingkungan yang terjadi secara berkelanjutan, sehingga segala tindakan pengelolaan lingkungan hidup harus di lakukan dengan hati-hatian, maka dari itu perlunya penerapan prinip kehati-hatian (Precautionary Principle).

| Additional Information: | Discussion regarding sustainable development is not something new, both seen nationally and internationally. Sustainable development is a development process that optimizes the use of natural and human resources, by harmonizing natural resources with humans in development. Indonesia has been actively involved at the international level as one of the countries that have ratified the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Kyoto Protocol. The Indonesian government has ratified the Climate Change Convention through Law Number 6 of 1994 concerning the Ratification of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and is included in Non-Annex I countries. This research uses the Juridical-Normative research method. In the end, this research will focus on answering two issues, namely the regulation of the principles of sustainable development in the 1992 Climate Change Convention on the prevention of illegal logging and the implementation of the principles of sustainable development in preventing illegal logging in Kalimantan. The implementation of the UNFCCC has essentially been reflected in the regulations governing environmental management as well as rules regarding its prevention and eradication. This can be seen when various kinds of actions of damage or actions of deforestation that are carried out should carry out a review or pay attention to environmental impact analyzes that occur sustainably, so that all environmental management actions must be carried out with caution, therefore the precautionary principle also required.
