Abstract
Bermain video game merupakan kesenangan bagi orang orang yg memainkannya, beberapa kalangan bahkan menjadikan bermain video game sebagai hobi dan juga mata pencaharian. Perkembangan video game begitu pesat seiring berkembangnya dunia teknologi, salah satunya yaitu munculnya perangkat lunak yang biasa disebut cheat. Pihak pengembang game sendiri melarang penggunaan cheat, karena penggunaan cheat merusak jalannya sistem dalam video game yang sudah ada, namun penggunaa cheat dalam game online multiplayer tetap saja ada. Kini cheat diperjual belikan di dalam sebuah laman website dengan domain “ https://www.cheatpekalonganvip.com/”. Dalam UU ITE sudah mengatur tentang larangan penjualan program perangkat lunak, namun pihak kepolisian dalam hal ini belum melakukan apapun atas kejadian tersebut. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor-faktor apa yang menyebabkan penegakan hukum pejualan cheat belum ditindak lanjuti, dan mengenai penanggulangan hukum pidana tentang penjualan program cheat pada game online multiplayer. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode yuridis normatif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber data sekunder yang kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu belum adanya penegakan hukum terkait penjualan program cheat pada game online multiplayer karena beberapa faktor antara lain sarana prasana yang masih kurang memadai seperti terbatasnya jumlah anggota unit siber, dan masih terbatasnya teknologi yang dimiliki oleh unit siber, hal ini menyebabkan tidak semua kejahatan dalam dunia maya dapat dipantau dan ditindak lanjuti oleh unit siber. pihak kepolisian Polda Banten mengupayakan melakukan patroli siber yaitu melakukan patroli kepada website/ laman , melakukan kerjasama dengan pengelola website/ laman agar dapat menghilangkan konten yang dilarang oleh UU,dan menyarankan agar pengembang game meningkatkan sistem keamanan pada sistem informasi mereka. Sedangkan secara pidana Polda Banten akan Menjerat bagi siapa saja yang melakukan tindak pidana penjulan program cheat dengan UU dan peraturan yang berlaku.

| Additional Information: | Playing video games is a pleasure for those who play them, some people emake playing video games a hobby and also a livelihood. Advances in the worof technology also accompany the development of games today, one of which the emergence of software commonly called cheats in online games. Gadevelopers prohibit the use of cheats, because the use of cheats destroys system in an existing video game, but the use of cheats in multiplayer onligames still exists. Now cheats are traded on a website page with the domain"https://www.cheatpekalonganvip.com/". The ITE Law already regulates prohibition of selling software programs, but the police have not done anythiabout this incident. Based on this background, the problems studied in this studare the factors that cause law enforcement to not act on the sale of cheats, regarding the countermeasures for criminal law regarding the sale of cheprograms in multiplayer online games. This research was conducted usingnormative juridical methods. Sources of data used in this study are secondary dsources which are then analyzed qualitatively. The result of this research is thatthere is no law enforcement related to the sale of cheat programs in onlimultiplayer games due to several factors, including inadequate infrastructure suchas the limited number of cyber unit members, and limited technology owned cyber units, this causes not all cybercrime can be monitored and acted upon cyber units. The Banten Regional Police are trying to carry out cyber patrols, namely patrolling websites / pages, collaborating with website / page managers order to remove content prohibited by law, and suggesting that game developerimprove the security system in their information systems. Meanwhile, the BantenRegional Police will be criminally charged for anyone who commits a criminal acof selling a cheat program with the applicable laws and regulations. | |||||||||
