Abstract

LPG dan karbon monoksida merupakan polutan udara yang mudah terbakar dan meledak. Bila kadar gas LPG atau CO berlebih pada suatu ruangan menimbulkan bahaya kebakaran. Meninjau permasalahan tersebut, perlu adanya sistem yang mampu mendeteksi kadar gas LPG dan CO serta dapat melakukan sistem monitoring berbasis teknologi Internet of Things. Sistem dimulai dengan mendeteksi kadar gas LPG dan CO pada suatu ruangan. Arduino Mega 2560 digunakan untuk memproses data. Data yang dikirim menggunakan modul ESP8266 menuju platform Thingspeak. Data ditampilkan pada layar LCD 16x2 dan platform Thingspeak. Serta sistem peringatan berupa notifikasi melalui SMS jika kadar gas LPG atau CO melebihi batas ambang aman

Additional Information: LPG and Carbon monoxide are flammable and explosive air pollutants. If excessive LPG or CO gas levels in a room will cause a fire hazard. Reviewing these problems, it is necessary to have a system capable of detecting LPG and CO gas levels and can conduct a monitoring system based on Internet of Things technology. The system starts by detecting LPG and CO gas levels in a room. To process data, Arduino Mega2560 is used. The data sent will use the ESP8266 module to the Thingspeak platform. Data will be displayed on the 16x2 LCD screen and Thingspeak platform. And a warning system is added in the form of a notification via SMS if the LPG or CO gas level exceeds the safe threshold.
