Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) latar belakang keluarga dan pendidikan Mayor Daan Mogot (2) Peristiwa Bersenjata yang terjadi di Wilayah Tangerang 1945 – 1946 (3) Perjuangan Mayor Daan Mogot dalam Revolusi Fisik Tangerang. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah narasi deskripstif dengan pendekatan historis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis. Adapun langkah – langkah yang digunakan dalam menggunakan metode historis ini adalah Heuristik (Pengumpulan sumber), kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka yang kemudian akan dilakukan proses kritik sumber yang telah didapat, mengintepretasikan data yang telah diverifikasi hingga tahap penyelesaian (Historiografi). Daan Mogot dengan nama asli Daniel Elias Mogot merupakan salah tokoh yang turut berjuang sebagai garda terdepan dalam upaya mempertahankan kemerdekaan Indonesia di berbagai wilayah yaitu Bali, Bogor dan Tangerang. Dalam kiprahnya sebagai prajurit, Mayor Daan Mogot memiliki banyak pengalaman sebagai prajurit. Berbagai pelatihan militer beliau ikuti secara tekun memasuki pertengahan tahun 1945, Mayor Daan Mogot menggabungkan diri sebagai anggota BKR, hingga beliau ditempatkan sebagai anggota TKR Resimen IV Tangerang, ditempat inilah Mayor Daan Mogot mulai menjalankan kiprahnya di Wilayah Tangerang dengan melakukan sebuah perubahan yang sangat penting untuk mempertahankan Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia, yaitu sebagai penggagas berdirinya Akademi Militer pertama di Indonesia.

| Additional Information: | This research study to describe (1) the family background and education of Major Daan Mogot (2) the Armed Incident that occurred in the Tangerang Region 1945-1946 (3) Major Daan Mogot's Struggle in the Tangerang Physical Revolution. The form of this research is descriptive narrative with a historical approach. The research method used is the historical method. The steps used in using this historical method are Heuristics (collection of sources), criticism, interpretation and historiography. Data collection is done by means of observation, interviews and literature study which will then carry out the process of critique of the sources that have been obtained, interpreting the verified data until the completion stage (historiography). Daan Mogot, who is the real name is Daniel Elias Mogot, is one of the figures who has fought as the front guard in the effort to defend Indonesia's independence in various regions, namely Bali, Bogor and Tangerang. In his work as a soldier, Major Daan Mogot has a lot of experience as a soldier. He participated in various military trainings diligently entering the middle of 1945, Major Daan Mogot joined as a member of the BKR, until he was placed as a member of the TKR Regiment IV Tangerang, this is where Major Daan Mogot began to carry out his work in the Tangerang Region by making a very important change for maintain the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, namely as the initiator of the establishment of the first Military Academy in Indonesia.
