Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan literasi sains pada pemikiran bukti Ilmiah (level 5) dan penalaran ilmiah tingkat lanjut (level 6) siswa SMA/MA Se-Provinsi Banten. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan fenomenologis. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII SMA/MA se-Provinsi Banten, dengan jumlah responden 320 siswa yang berasal dari 16 sekolah mewakili kabupaten/kota di Banten. Pengupulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes dan non tes, instrumen yang digunakan yaitu instrumen soal literasi sains, angket siswa dan angket guru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada pemikiran bukti ilmiah (level 5) termasuk dalam kategori sangat rendah dengan rata-rata skor yaitu 161,95, sedangkan untuk kemampuan literasi sains pada penalaran ilmiah tingkat lanjut (level 6) termasuk dalam kategori sangat rendah dengan rata-rata skor 143,93.

Additional Information: This study aims to describe the profile of scientific literacy abilities on scientific evidence thinking (level 5) and advanced scientific reasoning (level 6) high school students in Banten Province. The method used is a phenomenological approach. Sources of data in this study were students of class XII SMA / MA throughout Banten Province, with a total of 320 students who came from 16 schools representing districts / cities in Banten. Collecting data was done by means of tests and non-tests, the instruments used were instruments of scientific literacy questions, student questionnaires and teacher questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that students' scientific literacy skills at scientific evidence thinking (level 5) are included in the very low category with an average score of 161.95, while for scientific literacy skills at advanced scientific reasoning (level 6) are included in the very category. low with an average score of 143.93. keywords: banten, science literacy, science evidence thinking (level 5), advanced science reasoning (level 6)
