Abstract
Serang as the capital of the province of Banten, It is refer to UU No. 32 Tahun 2004 changed the status of a new autonomous city. Impact seen due to change this status is the magnitude of current labor migration from various regions to districts of Serang. The method used is the method of spatial analysis is supported by descriptive quantitative methods. 255 296 of the population lives, the number of samples obtained 400 commuter spread proportionately in each district. The results, commuter destination areas designated inter-district workers most respondents are Kragilan District, Cikande, and Ciruas. The existence of an industrial area in the region significantly affect the pattern of commuting into the region. Side from being a factory worker, activity around the plant also triggers the movement of workers into this district mainly for trade and service activities. Regional concentration of commuter workers out districts are Serang. Caused apart because of relative proximity and easy access to transport, major district roads in relatively good condition so that relatively faster travel time to the site, in addition to the public facilities more fully in this Serang as educational facilities, offices, and central government spending because state this city is also the capital of Banten.
