Abstract
This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning through model of cooperative learning type think, pair, and share. This research was conducted in SDN Kasemen Serang City on second semester 2014/2015 academic year, with the number of students in class III A total of 49 students. The method used in this research is a classroom action research method using a cycle of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Classroom action research conducted through the planning stages, class action / implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection was performed by using test instruments and nontes form of observation sheets and interviews. This research is pursued in two cycles each cycle consisting of two meetings. The results obtained from this study is the increased activity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning using model of cooperative learning type think, pair, and share. The percentage completeness of students learning outcomes in the first cycle was 73.47% with the criteria of "Good (B)" and the results of observation the activity students gain an average of 65,05% with the criteria of "Good (B)". In the second cycle of student learning outcomes completeness percentage is 91.83% with the criteria of "Very Good (A)" and the result of observation the activity students gain an average of 92,24% with criteria of "Very Good (A)". Thus the use model of cooperative learning type think, pair, and share can improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning in class III A SDN Kasemen.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think, pair, and share. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Kasemen Kota Serang pada semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015, dengan jumlah siswa kelas III A sebanyak 49 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan siklus dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan melalui tahap perencanaan, tindakan kelas/pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan nontes berupa lembar observasi dan hasil wawancara. Penelitian ini ditempuh dalam dua siklus masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah adanya peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think, pair, and share. Persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I adalah 73,47% dengan kriteria “Baik (B)” dan hasil observasi terhadap aktivitas siswa memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 65,05% dengan kriteria “Baik (B)”. Pada siklus II persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa adalah 91,83% dengan kriteria “Amat Baik (A)” dan hasil observasi terhadap aktivitas siswa memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 92,24% dengan kriteria “Amat Baik (A)”. Dengan demikian penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think, pair, and share dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas III A SDN Kasemen. | |||||||||
