Abstract
This research is motivated by: the enthusiasm of the students to learn the low; social science material is information and too demanding cognitive (rote) make students lazy to understand the information contained good information in the book as well as those presented by the teacher; responsibility of the students in doing the task is still too low so students tend to underestimate and ignore their duties, especially duties while in the classroom so that the effect on the poor students learning outcomes. The purpose of this action is performed to determine the activity of students using model cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition on subjects social science and improve learning outcomes by using model cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition on subjects social science. This study was conducted in two cycles, the first cycles on the 4th of September and 12th Mei, and the second cycles on 13th of Mei and 15th Mei. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study is the observation of students activity and achievement test. Student activity increased at each cycle. In cycle I the first meeting by 42,6% and the second meeting by 57,1%. In cycle II the first meeting by 71,4% and the second meeting by 100%. Learning outcomes in cycle I received average scores 80,5 with minimum complementeness criteria 46,4% and in cycle II received average 86,75 with minimum complementeness criteria 78,6%. Thus been proven that learning social science using model cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition can increase the activity and students learning outcomes with subjects social science in IV SDN Toyomerto 2.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh: Antusiasme siswa dalam belajar rendah; Materi pengetahuan sosial yang terlalu bersifat informatif dan menuntut aspek kognitif (hapalan) saja membuat siswa malas untuk memahami informasi- informasi baik yang terdapat dalam buku maupun yang disampaikan oleh guru; Tanggung jawab siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas masih rendah, sehingga siswa terlalu menyepelekan dan cenderung mengabaikan tugas-tugasnya, khususnya selama berada di dalam kelas sehingga berpengaruh pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan tindakan ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition pada mata pelajaran IPS dan meningkatkan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition pada mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang berlangsung pada tanggal 4 Mei dan 12 Mei 2015 serta siklus II pada tanggal 13 Mei dan 15 Mei 2015. Setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu pengamatan aktivitas siswa dan tes hasil belajar. Aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I pertemuan pertama sebesar 42,6% dan pertemuan kedua sebesar 57,1%. Pada siklus II pertemuan pertama sebesar 71,4% dan pertemuan kedua sebesar 100%. Hasil belajar pada siklus I mendapat nilai rata-rata 80,5 dengan kriteria ketuntasan minimum 46,4% dan pada siklus II mendapat nilai rata-rata 86,75 dengan kriteria ketuntasan minimum 78,6%.Dengan demikian, telah terbukti bahwa pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas IV SDN Toyomerto 2. | |||||||||
