Abstract

his research aims to understand how the percentage of misconceptions and the cause of misconception on the concept kingdom animalia in SMAN 8 Kota Serang. The methode used in this research is descriptive. The population of students in research is a class X SMAN 8 Kota Serang who have studied the concept of kingdoms animalia years lessons 2014 and 2015. X.5 sample was a class in research. The technique of the sample collection is purposive the sampling method used. Research instruments used is multiple choice of diagnostic tests of 30 consisting of grains accompanied with certainty of response index ( CRI ) and diagnosis interview. The results of research shows that misconception found on the concept of animalia kingdom with the percentage of 42% of the remaining 31% and 27% didn’t understand the concept of understand the concept of. Miskonsepsi purport the concept of what happened is on the use of the concept of a different and wrong. Based on interviews with students, among other miskonsepsi caused by the concept of the kingdoms animalia the complex so elusive. The media and the method and a limited source of learning.
