Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengaruh pemahaman membaca siswa dalam teks naratif dengan menggunakan STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Division) teknik. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif pendekatan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen sejati. Populasi yang digunakan dalam hal ini penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Bojonegara, Serang - Banten Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu XI IPA 3 terdiri dari 30 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 1 terdiri dari 30 siswa untuk kelas kontrol. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemahaman membaca siswa dalam teks naratif dengan menggunakan STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Division) teknik. Setelah peneliti melakukan penelitian, peneliti menemukan bahwa pemahaman membaca dalam teks naratif prestasi siswa yang diajar dengan teknik STAD lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan teknik STAD. Itu terbukti dengan rerata skor pre-test kelas eksperimen adalah 62,97 dan kelas kontrol adalah 63.36. Setelah diberikan perawatan, terlihat peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen yang memiliki nilai rata-rata post-test adalah 83,47. Sementara itu, rata-rata nilai post-test pada kelas kontrol adalah 76,03. Akhirnya, hasil dari analisis post-test baik kelas eksperimen dan kontrol menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel (3,05 > 2,00). Artinya Ho (hipotesis nol) ditolak dan ada pengaruh penggunaan teknik STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Division) terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa dalam teks naratif di kelas sebelas SMAN 1 Bojonegara, Serang – Banten.

| Additional Information: | The aim of this research is to investigate the influence the influence of students’ reading comprehension in narrative text by using STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Division) technique. This research used quantitative approach by using true experimental method. The population that used in this research was the student of the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Bojonegara, Serang - Banten Academic year 2014/2015. The technique sampling used two classes namely experimental class and control class which is XI IPA 3 consists of 30 students for experimental class and XI IPA 1 consists of 30 students for the control class. The technique used to collect the data was test used to know the influence of students’ reading comprehension in narrative text by using STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Division) technique. After researcher conducted the research, researcher found that reading comprehension in narrative text achievement of the students who were taught by using STAD technique was better than the students who were taught without using STAD technique. It was proven by the mean score pre-test of experimental class is 62.97 and control class is 63.36. After giving the treatments, the improvement could be seen for experimental class which had mean score of post-test is 83.47. Meanwhile, the mean score of post-test in the control class is 76.03. Finally, the result of analyzing the post-test both of experimental and control class showed that tcount > ttable (3.05 > 2.00). It meant that Ho (null hypothesis) was refused and there was an influence of using STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Division) technique toward students’ reading comprehension in narrative text at the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Bojonegara, Serang – Banten. | |||||||||
