Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan self-talk strategi keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas VIII SMPI Daarut Tasbih Ar -Rafi Tangerang Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, peneliti melakukan eksperimen semu di SMPI Daarut Tasbih Ar – Rafi Tangerang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPI Daarut . Tasbih Ar – Rafi Tangerang Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Untuk sampel, peneliti mengambil satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Di sana adalah 20 siswa di kelas kontrol dan 20 siswa di kelas eksperimen. Di kelas kontrol peneliti memberikan tes berbicara tanpa perlakuan dan dalam kelas eksperimen peneliti memberikan treatment dengan menerapkan self-talk strategi dalam mengajar berbicara. Instrumen yang digunakan tes berbicara dalam pengambilan data. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa pre – test 16,75 dan hasil untuk post – test adalah 19,65. Untuk membuktikan bahwa nilai rata-rata dari kedua tes berbeda nyata, data dianalisis dengan uji-t. uji-t hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa t-test > t-tabel (5,07 > 1,69) yang menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, jadi berarti ada pengaruh penggunaan strategi self-talk pada keterampilan berbicara siswa di delapan Kelas SMPI Daarut Tasbih Ar – Rafi Tangerang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi self-talk pada keterampilan berbicara siswa membantu siswa untuk mendapatkan prestasi yang lebih baik dalam berbicara.

Additional Information: The purpose of the research was to know the influence of using self – talk strategy on students’ speaking skill at eight grade of SMPI Daarut Tasbih Ar – Rafi Tangerang. To achieve the purpose of the research, the researcher conducted quasy experimental at SMPI Daarut Tasbih Ar – Rafi Tangerang. The population of this research was eight grade students’ of SMPI Daarut Tasbih Ar – Rafi Tangerang in academic year 2014/2015. For the sample, the researcher took one class as control class and experimental class. There were 20 students in control class and 20 students in experomental class. In control class the researcher gave speaking test without treatment and in the experiment class the researcher gave treatment by implementing self – talk strategy in teaching speaking. The instrument used speaking test in taking the data. The result of the test showed that the pre – test 16,75 and the result for the post – test was 19,65. To prove that the mean score of both tests were significantly diffferent, the data was analyzed by using t-test. The t-test result of data analysis showed that t-test > t-table (5,07 > 1,69) which indicate that Ho was rejected and Ha is accepted, soo it means there was influence of using sellf – talk strategy on students’ speaking skill at eight grade of SMPI Daarut Tasbih Ar – Rafi Tangerang. The findings of this indicated that the use of self – talk strategy on students’ speaking skill helped students’ to get better achievment in speaking.
