Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh signifikan penggunaan DRTA strategi terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa dan siswa kelas delapan dari SMPN 13 Kota Tangerang. SMP Negeri 13 Kota Tangerang adalah tempatnya penelitian dengan seluruh siswa kelas 8 sebagai populasi, 8E sebagai kelas kontrol sedangkan kelas 8F sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang digunakan desain eksperimen semu. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa data pemahaman bacaan memiliki distribusi normal dan homogen. Data dikatakan normal jika . Untuk pretest kelas kontrol datanya Pretest kelas kontrol 2,609 12,592 dan post-test adalah 4.656 12.592. Untuk pre-test di kelas eksperimen datanya adalah 12,305 12.592 dan untuk post-test adalah 4.479 12.592. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis alternatif ( ) terbukti, karena lebih besar dari (5.248 > 1.671). Artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari membaca siswa pemahaman dalam teks naratif setelah mengajar membaca teks naratif dengan menggunakan DRTA strategi. Dari uji hipotesis diketahui bahwa siswa yang mendapat strategi pengobatan DRTA dalam pengajaran pemahaman membaca menjadi lebih signifikan peningkatan skor rata-rata dibandingkan siswa yang diajar dengan strategi konvensional. Itu hasil koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa persentase pengaruh penggunaan DR-TA terhadap pemahaman bacaan siswa sebesar 52%. Berdasarkan data tersebut, terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan strategi DR-TA terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa pemahaman siswa kelas VIII SMPN 13 Kota Tangerang.

| Additional Information: | This research is aimed at knowing (1) the significant influence of using DRTA strategy toward students’ reading comprehension et the Eighth grade students of SMPN 13 Kota Tangerang. SMP Negeri 13 Kota Tangerang is the place to do this research with all the grade 8 students as the population, 8E as the control class while class 8F as the experimental class. This research is quantitative approach that used quasi experimental design. The result shows that the data of reading comprehension has normal distribution and homogeneous. The data said normal if ≤ . For pre-test in control class the data is Pre-test control class 2,609 ≤ 12,592 and post-test is 4,656 ≤ 12,592. For pre-test in experimental class the data is 12,305 ≤ 12,592 and for post-test is 4,479 ≤ 12,592. The result of hypothesis testing shows that alternative hypothesis ( ) was verified, because was greater than (5,248 > 1,671). It means there was a significance influence of students reading comprehension in narrative text after teaching reading narrative text by using DRTA strategy. From the test of the hypothesis is known that the students who got the treatment DRTA strategy in teaching reading comprehension got more significant increase in average score than the students who taught by conventional strategy. The result of coefficient determination shows that the precentage of the influence of using DR-TA toward students’ reading comprehension was 52%. Based on the data, there is any significant influence of using DR-TA strategy toward students’ reading comprehension at the Eighth grade students of SMPN 13 Kota Tangerang. | |||||||||
