Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lagu dalam pengajaran keterampilan menyimak pada siswa kelas VIII MTsN Model Padarincang. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menerapkan rancangan eksperimen sejati. Tes awal dan post-test digunakan untuk mendapatkan data. Sampel penelitian ini adalah delapan kelas siswa MTsN Model Padarincang, dipilih 30 siswa untuk setiap kelompok. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test dan post-test dihitung menggunakan SPSS Statistics 16.0 for jendela. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes dan dianalisis dengan rumus skor rata-rata. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor sebelum perlakuan dan skor setelah perawatan. Di kelas kontrol, nilai rata-rata pre test adalah 51. Ada terdapat peningkatan pada hasil post test dengan nilai rata-rata 67,33. Di kelas eksperimen, nilai rata-rata pre test adalah 60,67. Setelah penulis memberikan perlakuan, terjadi peningkatan hasil post test yaitu 84. Hal ini dapat menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan lagu dalam pengajaran keterampilan mendengarkan.

Additional Information: The objective of this research is to find out the influence of songs in teaching listening skill at the eight grade students of MTsN Model Padarincang. This research used a quantitative research implementing the true experimental design. Pre-test and post-test were employed to obtain the data. Sample of this research is eight class students of MTsN Model Padarincang, 30 students selected for each group. The data gathered through pre-test and post-test were computed using SPSS Statistics 16.0 for Windows. The instrument was a test and analyzed by mean score formula. The result shows that there is a significant difference between the score before treatment and the score after treatments. In control class, the average score of pre test was 51. There was an improvement in the post test result with the average score was 67,33. In experimental class, the average score of pre test was 60,67. After the writer gave the treatment, there was improvement in the post test result that was 84. It can be concluded that there is significant influence of using songs in teaching listening skill.
