Abstract
Rice is a food commodity that people in Indonesia still dependency to consume. Special Effort Program (UPSUS) aims to achieve rice self-sufficiency. One of the activities UPSUS to increase rice productivity of at least 0.3 tonnes / ha is the Movement Implementation of Integrated Crop Management (GP-PTT). Pamengkang village Kramatwatu District of Serang regency has potential as an area that could be improved productivity. Empowering farmers through farmer behavior changes (knowledge, attitudes and skills) to be one of interest in the activities of GP-PTT. This research aimed to analyze the effect of the implementation of the special effort program (UPSUS) to the empowerment of farmers include changes in knowledge, attitudes and skills of farmers in rice farming and to describe the effect of changes in knowledge, attitudes and skills of farmers on the productivity of paddy in the village of Pamengkang. The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Sampling was done by census method. Respondents in this study is a rice farmer in the village of Pamengkang numbered 25 people. The analytical tool used in this research is the tabulation and Paired Sample T-Test. Based on the data processing result that there are changes in knowledge and attitudes of farmers but farmers' skills are not there is a change of the eleven components of PTT paddy field after participating in the activities of GP-PTT. Knowledge and attitude changes that influence to the increased productivity of rice, while farmers' skills do not change it is one of the reasons not to an increase in productivity of paddy. Drought due to weather factors and brown planthoppers also be the cause of the occurrence of increased productivity of rice. Keywords: GP-PTT, knowledge, attitudes, skills, rice production
