Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa denganmenggunakan model Cooperative Learning tipe CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition). (2) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Learning tipe CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindak kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, tiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes, Observasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Tegal Kembang Kecamatan Walantaka Kota Serang-Banten subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI-A. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penggunaan model Cooperative Learning tipe CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa, hal ini ditunjukan dengan meningkatnya persentase aktivitas belajar siswa mulai dari siklus I sampai siklus II. Nilai persentase aktivitas siswa siklus I adalah 66.67% dan siklus II adalah 93.33% (2) penggunaan model Cooperative Learning tipe CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition) dapat meningkatkan Hasil belajar siswa, hal ini dilihat dari nilai hasil belajar siswa. Persentase rata-rata hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 71,53 dan siklus II sebesar 87,30. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Learning tipe CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition) dapat meningkatkan Hasil belajar siswa pada konsep kenampakan alam dan keadaan sosial Negara-negara tetangga pada kelas VI-A SDN Tegal Kembang Kecamatan Walantaka Kota Serang-Banten Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015.

Additional Information: The purpose of this study were (1) to enhance the students learning activities using cooperative learning models of type CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition) (2) to improve student learning outcomes by using a model of cooperative learning type CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition). The research method used was Classroom Action Research is conducted in two cycles, each cycles includes : planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected by testing and observation, the research was conducted at SDN Tegal Kembang Walantaka. The research subject were students in grade six. The result showed that : (1) the use of cooperative learning model of type CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition) can improve students learning activities, this was shown by the increasing percentage of student learning activities ranging from first cycle to second cycle. Percentage of the value of student activity in first cycle was 66.67% and the second was 93.33%. (2) the use of cooperative learning model of type CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition) can improve students learning outcomes. This can be seen from the value of student learning outcomes. The average percentage of student learning outcomes in first cycle was 71.53 and 87.30 for the second cycle. The conclusion that can be drawn is that learning to use cooperative learning model of type CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, And Composition) can improve student learning outcomes on the concept of natural features and social circumstances neighboring countries in the sixth grade of elementary school Tegal Kembang Walantaka academic year 2014/2015
