Abstract

Bamboo is one of alternative wood that cost more expensive, recently. It could formed as beam, coloumn, board with lamination. Lamination technique can formed as subtitute for construction from wood. The latest study had reviewed about laminated bamboo beam with shear strength with the variation of adhesive labur MSGL #30MSGL, 40#MSGL, 50#MSGL, 60#MSGL and MDGL 30#MDGL, 40#MDGL, 50#MDGL. This study is for knowing the affection of length wedge variation 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm, with adhesive labur from PT. Ligno specialty adhesive suoer type 60 #MDGL at laminated bambo beam to the shear strength. Comparison between width and length beam is two to one (120 mm x 60 mm), By that, the strength of laminated bamboo beam tested with electromechanical universal testing machine (EUTM). For laminated bamboo formed by outer skin of bamboo. This study prove that laminated bamboo strength with the variation of 15 cm length wedge is the highest with 9,987 KN with shear strength 3,48 Mpa, length 15 cm 9,953 KN with shear strength 3,82 Mpa ,length 15 cm 9,328 Knwith shear strength 3,47 Mpa. This strength could be higher than wood strength as common, where wood class II shear strength is 1,25 Mpa
