Abstract

This study, entitled "Effects of Consumption Expenditure, Basic Education Level and Employment on Poverty in the District / City of Banten Province". This study aims to: (1) the effect of consumption expenditure on poverty in the District / City of Banten province, (2) the effect of the level of basic education to poverty in the District / City of Banten province, (3) the effect of the employment to poverty in the District / City of Banten province, (4) the effect of consumption expenditure, the level of basic education and the employment to poverty in the District / City of Banten province. The method used in this research is multiple regression method with panel data is the combination of time series with cross section. The analysis technique used in this study first tested Classical Assumptions (Normality, Multicollinearity, Heteroscedasticity, and Autocorrelation). The data used is the time period of 2009 to 2013 which includes data and City District in Banten Province. The results showed that during the time period of 2009 to 2013 consumption expenditure and the employment has effect on poverty in the District / City of Banten province, while the level of basic education no effect on poverty in the district / city of Banten province. Hereinafter jointly consumption expenditures, the level of basic education and employment opportunities affect the level of poverty in the District / City of Banten province.
