Abstract

A research was conducted to determine the influence of Inorganic Liquid Fertilizer Delivery and Variation Plant Spacing on the Grow and Yield of Sweet Corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt). This research had been done in the village Baros Subdistrict Sidamukti Banten Province in December 2014 to February 2015. This research used a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) as factorial with two factors. The first factor was the of inorganic liquid fertilizer (P) with 4 levels, P0 (controls), P1 : (liquid inorganic fertilizer 1.5 ml/lwater), P2 (liquid inorganic fertilizer 2,5 ml/l water), P3: (3.5 mlliquid inorganic fertilizer/l water),. The second factor was Plant Spacing (J) with 3 levels : plant spacing 50 cm x 25 cm (J1) , plant spacing 75 cm x 25 cm (J2), and 100 cm x 25 cm (J3). Each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 36 experimental units. The parameters measured were the plants high, number of leaves, leaf area, gross weight of crop, gross weight per plot, the length of the cob, cob diameter, net weight crop, net weight per plot. The results showed that treatment of inorganic liquid fertilizer P2 (liquid inorganic fertilizer 2,5 ml/l water) gave best effect to the number of vines aged 28 Day After Planting (DAP) (68,73 cm), number of leaves 28 DAP (7,22 strands), broad leaf 42 DAP (3988,67). Spacing of 50 cm x 25 cm gave good effection the higher plants 21 DAP (45,71 cm) and 35 DAP (145,11 cm). Spacing of 100 cm x 25 cm gave good affection gross weigt crop 70 DAP (369,79 g), gross weigt per plot (1427-g), cob diameter 70 DAP (4.57 cm), net weight crop 70 DAP (293,12 g) , net weight per plot 70 DAP (1141,58 g). There was interaction between inorganic liquid fertilizer delivery and variation plant spacing the higher plants 35 DAP (131,95 cm), 42 DAP (178,25 cm) and cob diameter 70 DAP (4.8 cm).
