Abstract

Gas turbine is a prime mover which is using gas as a work fluid. In the gas turbine, kinetic energy convert to mechanical energy as a rotation and rotating the turbine to produce power. The power produced by gas turbine are use by any machine, one of them is generator in power plant system (PLTG). In power plant system, heat rate is parameter that usually used to rate how efficient the power plant. Heat rate show the value of calory or heat needed to produce electricity per kWh. The objective of the research is to know the influence of generator load to heat rate that the heat rate result is used to calculate cost of power produce in gas turbine power plant with maximum capacity 40 MW. The calculation be recomendation for determine the minimun of power production by gas turbine power plant. Research is doing at 22 MW to 38 MW. The result is more bigger power produce, heat rate is more good. The best heat rate from this research is 2349,753 kal/kWh at 38 MW (maximum load) and the biggest is 2973,639 kal/kWh at 22 MW. For the directly cost of power produce the lowest price Rp. 1053,543/kWh at 38 MW and the biggest Rp. 1419,183/kWh at 22 MW. Keywords : PLTG, gas turbine, heat rate
