Abstract

The formulation of the research are as follows. “How is the result of learning ability of writing poetry using Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method at eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Kota Tangerang?”, “How is the result of learning ability of writing poetry using Auditory, Intellectualy, Repetition (AIR) learning method at eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Kota Tangerang?”, “How is the differences learning result of writing poetry using Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method and Auditory, Intellectualy, Repetition (AIR) learning method in learning ability of writing poetry at eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Kota Tangerang?”. This research was conducted to describe the influence of using Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method and Auditory, Intellectualy, Repetition (AIR) learning method in the ability of writing poetry at eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Kota Tangerang. This research was conducted quantitative experimental design. The populasion of this research was all of eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Kota Tangerang. The sample was conducted of two classes VIII-H as an experimental class and VIII-I as a control class. Based on the result of the research, it can concluded that the result of writing poetry learning in experimental class used Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method got the average score 74,68 with pretest score 48,66. Auditory, Intellectualy, Repetition (AIR) learning method was influencing toward the ability of writing poetry got average score 65,33 with pretest score 50,14, based on the learning result which had enhance in posttest score was in the experimental class which had differences 9,35 point with average score of experimental class and control class 74,68 and 65,33, from the result above there was a significant differences was the score which conducted Think Talk Write (TTW) method more than Auditory, Intellectualy, Repetition (AIR) method in learning ability of writing poetry. The result of the research showed that Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method was better than Auditory, Intellectualy, Repetition (AIR) learning method to improve the ability of writing poetry in eighth grade students of SMPN 21 Kota Tangerang.
