Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) yaitu sebesar 60 pada salah satu mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil Ulangan Akhir Semester (UAS) yang rendah pada hasil pembelajaran IPS, dengan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa 65,31. Jadi siswa yang memenuhi KKM yakni baru sekitar 48,78% dari jumlah siswa seluruhnya, sehingga perlu banyak perbaikan lagi. Selain itu beberapa kondisi yang menyebabkan adanya penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah karena pembelajaran yang diberikan monoton berupa ceramah mengakibatkan siswa pasif dalam belajar, pembelajaran berpusat pada guru adanya perubahan kurikulum 2013 dimana pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan ilmiah, namun guru belum mampu melaksanakanya, hal ini disebabkan oleh pelatihan-pelatihan yang terbilang singkat kemudian penilaian yang menggunakan rubrik untuk setiap aspeknya sehingga guru kesulitan menerapkan pendekatan tersebut sementara pemerintah menuntut para guru untuk mengaplikasikan kurikulum 2013. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas guru dan siswa yaitu dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yaitu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran siswa dan guru. Alur dengan pelaksanaan tindakan bentuk siklus yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan dilanjutkan dengan observasi, kemudian refleksi dilanjutkan rencana tindakan selanjutnya. Subyek penelitian ini adalah kelas IV SDN Taman Baru 1 yang berjumlah 41 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi siswa, lembar observasi guru, tes hasil belajar, lembar wawancara, dan foto. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti diperoleh kesimpulan yaitu dengan melakukan pendekatan saintifik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada tema Selalu Berhemat Energi kelas IV SDN Taman Baru 1. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil nilai rata-rata tes hasil belajar siswa yaitu 59,02 dengan persentase 58,54 % menjadi 75,85 dengan persentase 100% dan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan yaitu 44% meningkat pada siklus II yaitu 100%. Penerapan pendekatan saintifik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada tema Selalu Menghemat Energi

This research is motivated by the low of learning outcomes that have not reached the minimum completeness criteria ( KKM ) that is equal to 60 on one of the subjects of Social Sciences ( IPS ). It can be seen from the results of the End Semester Deuteronomy ( UAS ) that are low on the learning outcomes of IPS, with the average value obtained 65.31 students. So students who meet the new KKM approximately 48.78 % of the whole number of students, so it needs a lot more improvement . In addition, some of the conditions that led to the study of this class action is due to the monotony of learning given in the form of lectures resulted in a passive student learning, teacher-centered learning curriculum to a change in 2013 in which learning using a scientific approach , but the teacher has not been able to do, these are due to trainings are fairly short then use the assessment rubric for each aspect so that teachers improving difficulty of the approach while the government requires teachers to apply the curriculum 2013. one effort to improve learning outcomes and activities of teachers and students is by using a scientific approach. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR ) is the research that aims to improve the learning process of students and teachers . The flow of the execution cycles of the form of action planning, action followed by observation, reflection and then followed a plan of action. The subjects of this study were Taman Baru 1 Elementary School fourth grade,, amounting to 41 students. The research instrument in the form of student observation sheets, teacher observation sheet, achievement test, the questionnaires, and photographs. Results of research conducted by the researchers can be concluded that the scientific approach can improve students learning outcomes and activities on the theme of Always Save Energy at Taman Baru 1 Elementary School fourth grade. It can be seen from the average value of the test results of students learning is 59.02 with a percentage of 58.54 % to 75.85 with 100 % and the percentage of students in the first cycle of activity has risen 44 % increase in the second cycle of 100 %.
