Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah proses penggunaan audio metode lingual dalam pengajaran berbicara dengan menggunakan Metode AudioLingual di kelas tujuh SMP 1 Balaraja. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas pada dimana peneliti mengamati dan memberikan perlakuan untuk keterampilan berbicara. Populasi adalah siswa kelas VII SMP 1 Balaraja dengan jumlah sampel 40 siswa. Di dalam peneliti tindakan kelas, peneliti menggunakan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengumpulkan data kuantitatif. Sedangkan untuk pengumpulannya peneliti menggunakan lembar observasi dan dokumentasi data kualitatif. Dalam proses pengajaran keterampilan berbicara, siswa menikmati ketika mereka menggunakan AudioLingual sebagai metode. Siswa juga mengerjakan tugasnya dengan baik. Mereka dapat mengikuti dan memahami apa yang mereka pelajari. Semua siswa percaya diri dan antusias ketika mereka melakukan tugas mereka karena mereka telah mempelajarinya sebelumnya. Peneliti menggunakan pre-test untuk mengukur keterampilan berbicara siswa sebelum memberikan perlakuan dan post-test diberikan pada akhir penelitian setelah teknik mengukur kemampuan berbicara siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan. Dalam siklus I, rata-rata pre-test adalah 11,18 dan rata-rata post-test adalah 19,25. Kemudian persentasenya adalah 8,07%. Rata-rata post-test dua adalah 22,25, yaitu ada perbaikan pada siklus berikutnya. Jadi persentase skor siswa dari siklus satu sampai siklus dua meningkat 3%. peneliti menemukan bahwa skor siswa mendapat peningkatan keterampilan berbicara. Kesimpulannya, Audiolingual sebagai metode dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa.

Additional Information: he purpose of this research was to find out whether is the process of the use of audio lingual method in teaching speaking by using AudioLingual Method at seventh grade of SMP 1 Balaraja. The method of this study was a classroom action research in which reseracher observed and gave the treatment for speaking skill. The population was the seventh grade of SMP 1 Balaraja consist of 40 students as the sample. In this a classroom action researcher, the researcher used pre-test and post-test to collect the quantitative data. Meanwhile, researcher used the observation sheet and documentation for collecting the qualitative data. In the process of teaching speaking skill, the student enjoy when they used AudioLingual as method. The student also worked their task well. They could follow and comprehend what they learnt. All students were confident and enthusiast when they did their task because they have learnt it before. The researcher used pre-test to measure the students’ speaking skill before giving the treatment and post-test was given in the end of research after implementing the tehnique the measure the students’ speaking skill after giving the treatment. In the first cycle, the average of pre-test is 11.18 and the average of post-test is 19.25. Then the percentage was 8.07%. The average of post-test two was 22.25, that there was improvement in the next cycle. So the students score percentage from cycle one to cycle two was impreved 3%. the researcher found that the students score got an improvement in speaking skill. In conclusion, Audiolingual as method can improve students’ speaking skill.
