Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pariwisata brosur tentang kemampuan menulis deskriptif siswa kelas sepuluh SMAN 1 Pandeglang. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menerapkan true desain eksperimen sebagai metode penelitian. Ada dua kelompok yang digunakan dalam hal ini kelompok penelitian, eksperimen dan kontrol. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Pandeglang. Dari sembilan kelas, dua kelas adalah dipilih secara random sampling dengan menggunakan undian. X IIS 3 dipilih sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan X IIS 4 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Ada 40 siswa dalam kelompok kontrol dan 40 siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen. Setelah melakukan perawatan dan mengevaluasi kedua pre-test dan post-test dengan menginstruksikan siswa untuk membuat paragraf deskriptif tentang pariwisata tempat berdasarkan brosur wisata yang disediakan peneliti, peneliti menemukan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan brosur pariwisata terhadap kemampuan menulis deskriptif. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai t-test yang lebih tinggi dari nilai t-tabel (3,5 > 2,021) dengan atau taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan 78 sebagai derajat kebebasan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh terhadap pengajaran penulisan deskriptif siswa menggunakan brosur pariwisata. Disarankan untuk menggunakan Pariwisata Brosur untuk mengajar menulis deskriptif.

| Additional Information: | The objective of this research is to find out the influence of using tourism brochure towards students’ descriptive writing ablity at the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Pandeglang. The researcher used quantitative research by implementing true experimental design as the research method. There were two groups used in this research, experimental and control group. The population of this research was the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Pandeglang. From nine classes, two classes were sellected by random sampling using lottery. X IIS 3 selected as experimental group and X IIS 4 as control group. There were 40 students in control group and 40 students in experimental group. After conducting the treatments and evaluating both pre-test and post-test by instructing students to make a descriptive paragraph about tourism place based on tourism brochure that provided by the researcher, the researcher found that there was significant influence of using tourism brochure towards students’ descriptive writing ability. It can be seen from the value of t-test which was higher than the value of t-table (3.5 > 2.021) with α or level of significant at 0.05 and 78 as the degree of freedom. It can be concluded that there is influence on teaching students’ descriptive writing using tourism brochure. It is suggested to use Tourism Brochure to teach descriptive writing. | |||||||||
