Abstract
Menulis adalah salah satu aspek yang penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Namun, itu adalah tidak semudah kelihatannya. Ada beberapa media untuk memudahkan siswa dalam mengarang teks. Salah satu media yang menarik adalah gambar berurutan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan gambar berurutan terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks naratif pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Al-jauharotunnaqiyyah Ciberko. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu. Itu peneliti melakukan dua pertemuan dengan menggunakan media gambar berurutan sebagai perlakuan dalam kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan peneliti adalah tes menulis. Setelah data terkumpul, peneliti menganalisisnya dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan dari teks naratif menulis siswa pada kelompok eksperimen adalah signifikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji-t. Itu peneliti mendapatkan hasil dari uji signifikansi atau thitung sebesar 2,703, sedangkan ttabelnya adalah 1.684. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (2,703 > 1,684). Oleh karena itu, nol hipotesis ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif diterima. Jadi, bisa jadi menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan gambar berurutan terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks naratif siswa kelas VIII MTs Al jauharotunnaqiyyah Ciberko.

| Additional Information: | Writing is one of aspect which important in English learning. However, it is not easy as it seems. There are some media to make students easier to composing the text. One of the interesting media is sequential pictures. The objective of this research is to find out the influence of using sequential pictures toward students’ ability in writing narrative text at the eighth grade students of MTs Al-jauharotunnaqiyyah Ciberko. This research used quantitative method with quasi-experiment design. The researcher conducted two meeting using sequential pictures media as a treatment in experimental class. The instrument that used by the researcher were writing test. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed them by using t-test. The result of this research showed the significant influence of students’ writing narrative text on experimental group was significant. It can be seen from the result of t-test. The researcher got the result from significance test or tcount is 2.703, while, the ttable is 1.684. It shown that tcount is higher than ttable (2.703 > 1.684). Therefore, the null hypothesis is refused and the alternative hypothesis is received. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of using sequential pictures toward students’ ability in writing narrative text at the eighth grade students of MTs Al�jauharotunnaqiyyah Ciberko. | |||||||||
