Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh gambar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Khairiyah Kepandean Ciruas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan instrumen penelitian pre test dan post test. Dua dari empat kelas diambil sebagai sampel penelitian dengan menggunakan cluster sampling. Kelas tersebut dipilih sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan gambar dalam proses belajar mengajar dan kelas kontrol adalah kelas yang tidak menggunakan gambar. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa gambar berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa, terutama dalam teks deskriptif. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil rerata skor post-test siswa pada kelas eksperimen (72) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (59,34). Sedangkan uji t digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gambar terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa teks deskriptif. Dari hasil perhitungan t-test pada post-test diperoleh bahwa t-test lebih tinggi dari t-tabel (6,006>1,990). Diidentifikasi bahwa eksperimental dan kelompok kontrol memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan menulis setelah perlakuan. Di Kesimpulannya, gambar berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis deskriptif siswa teks.

Additional Information: The objectives of this research were to find out the influence of picture to improve students‟ writing skill of descriptive text at eight grades of MTs Al�KhairiyahKepandeanCiruas. This research was an experimental research with pre�test, and post-test, as instruments of the research. The two of four classes were taken as the research sample by using cluster sampling. The class was chosen as the experimental class that was treated by using pictures in teaching learning process and the control class was the class that did not used pictures. The result of this research revealed that pictureswere influenced to improve students‟ writing skill, especially in descriptive text. It was indicated by the result of means‟ score of students post-test in experimental class (72) was higher than in control class (59.34). On the other hand, t�test was used to know the influence of pictures toward students‟ writing skill of descriptive text. From the result of t-test calculation in post-test, it was obtained that t-test was higher than t-table (6.006>1.990). It was identified that experimental and control group has significant differences in writing ability after the treatment. In conclusion,picture was influenced to improve students‟ writing skill of descriptive text. .
