Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh menggunakan Edmodo terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa di kelas sebelas SMAN 1 Pamarayan. Penelitian ini menggunakan true-experimental sebagai desain penelitian. Itu Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Pamarayan di tahun ajaran 2015-2016. Peneliti menggunakan simple random sampling untuk mengambil contoh. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 40 siswa, 20 siswa kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan 20 siswa kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes. Tes dibagi menjadi dua bagian, ada pre-test dan pasca tes. Perlakuan menggunakan Edmodo diberikan untuk kelas eksperimen dan menggunakan flashcard untuk kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai rata-rata pre test kelas eksperimen 64,4 dan kelas kontrol 68,2. Setelah mendapatkan perlakuan, nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen adalah 85,4 dan kelas kontrol adalah 80,6. Analisis data dicoba menggunakan uji-T untuk dua kelompok rancangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai post-test menunjukkan thitung lebih banyak dari ttabel(3,63 > 2,02). Artinya Ho (hipotesis nol) ditolak dan Ha (hipotesis alternatif) diterima. Berdasarkan analisis data di atas, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan Edmodo terhadap kosakata siswa ketuntasan pada kelas XI SMAN 1 Pamarayan.

Additional Information: The objective of the research was to find out whether there is influence of using Edmodo toward students’ vocabulary mastery at eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Pamarayan. This research used true-experimental as the research design. The population of this research was the eleventh grade at SMAN 1 Pamarayan in academic year 2015-2016. The researcher used simple random sampling to take the sample. The sample of this research were 40 students, 20 students in XI IPA 1 as control class and 20 students in XI IPA 2 as experiment class. The instrument of this research was test. The test was divided into two parts, there were pre-test and post-test. The treatment using Edmodo was administrated for experiment class and using flashcard for control class. The research result indicated that there was improvement between pre-test and post-test result. It could be seen from the pre�test mean score of experiment class was 64,4 and control class was 68,2. After having the treatment, the mean score of post-test experiment class was 85,4 and control class was 80,6. Data analysis was attempted to use T-test for two groups design. The research result indicated that the post-test score showed tcount more than ttable(3.63 > 2,02). It means the Ho (null hypothesis) was refused and Ha (alternative hypothesis) was accepted. Based on the data analysis above, the writer concluded that there was influence of using Edmodo toward students’ vocabulary mastery at eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Pamarayan.
